Problem Note 36441: FORMAT= option on the PROC FREQ TABLES statement might not be honored in the Japanese, Chinese, and Korean versions of SAS

DetailsAboutRate It

The FORMAT= option on the TABLES statement in PROC FREQ might not be honored in the table output in the Japanese, Chinese, and Korean versions of SAS. This occurs because DATA_FORMAT_OVERRIDE is not set to "ON" for the CROSSTABFREQ template in these versions of SAS.

To circumvent the problem, edit the CROSSTABFREQ template to set DATA_FORMAT_OVERRIDE=ON using the code below:

ods path  SASHELP.TMPLMST(UPDATE);

proc template;
  edit Base.Freq.CrossTabFreqs;
    edit Frequency;
       data_format_override=ON;
    end;
  end;
run;
