The FORMAT= option on the TABLES statement in PROC FREQ might not be honored in the table output in the Japanese, Chinese, and Korean versions of SAS. This occurs because DATA_FORMAT_OVERRIDE is not set to "ON" for the CROSSTABFREQ template in these versions of SAS.
To circumvent the problem, edit the CROSSTABFREQ template to set DATA_FORMAT_OVERRIDE=ON using the code below:
